Michelle Burke has a BA in Sociology from York University and has had 10 years of experience working with children with special needs. She obtained her Autism and Behavioural Science Graduate Certification from Seneca College in Toronto, Ontario. Michelle has 5 years experience working directly in the field of Behaviour Modification at a private behaviour therapy center for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She went from the role of an Instructor Therapist to the Office Manager, and then quickly into the role of Director of Admissions and Staff Operations. She has also worked at The Geneva Centre for Autism as a shift Leader in their Respite Program providing direct support to the children and strategies to the staff. Michelle has had experience supporting children with exceptionalities in a school setting, 1:1 tutoring as well as 10 summers working at Camp Robin Hood in a summer camp setting. For 2 of these years, Michelle was a member of the Camper Relations Team, where she was responsible for implementing strategies for problem behaviours, liaising with the families, and training staff to work effectively with each camper.
